Home EV Charger Sales, Installation & Service, Honolulu, HI | OceanHead Solar and Electric
We do EVerything.
Wake Up to a
Full Charge Every Morning.
OceanHead Solar and Electric sells and installs Level 2 home EV charging stations across Oahu, handling the electrical assessment, permitting, and installation in-house from start to finish.
A Level 2 charger runs on 240 volts, the same power level as a clothes dryer, and charges your EV several times faster than a standard wall outlet. Pair your charger with solar, and you're driving on Hawaiian sunshine instead of gasoline.

OceanHead Solar and Electric is a licensed Hawaii solar and electrical contractor (LIC# C-33164), rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau, and a certified installer across Tesla, Autel, and ChargePoint home charging equipment.

OceanHead Solar and Electric: Certified Across Every Major Residential EV Charging Brand

OceanHead Solar and Electric handles home EV charger installation the same way we handle everything else, in-house, start to finish, with our own licensed electricians instead of a subcontractor. We're certified across a wide array of manufacturers including Tesla, Autel, and ChargePoint home charging systems.
We manage the permitting, electrical work, and HECO requirements that come with putting 240 volts into a residential space.
That matters a lot. A charger installed wrong doesn't just fail to work, it can trip your panel, void a manufacturer warranty, or create a real electrical hazard. OceanHead Solar and Electric's licensed team means the job's done to code the first time, so you're plugging in every night, not troubleshooting.
"We started with Hawaii's homeowners and remain dedicated to them today."

Does My Electrical Panel Support an EV Charger?
Often, and that's exactly what OceanHead Solar and Electric checks first.
A Level 2 charger adds real load to your electrical system, and some homes do need a panel upgrade or a dedicated subpanel to handle it safely. We start every EV charger project with a full site assessment so you know your electrical infrastructure from top to bottom before you make the decision to install.
Curious if your home's ready for a charger? Request a free site assessment or call 808-735-5745.

Do I Need a Permit for a Home EV Charger in Hawaii?
Yes, there are requirements for all of this. OceanHead Solar and Electric handles every part of the permitting process a Level 2 home EV charger installation requires in Honolulu and other parts of our island.
That permit confirms your new electrical work meets the National Electrical Code and local building requirements, protecting both your home's safety and your paperwork if you sell the house later.
We prepare your site plans and submit the permit application to the Department of Planning and Permitting directly.
