Ms. Gail Slawson and Ms. Michelle Eich are the co-founders and managing partners of OceanHead Investment Group, LLC. In 2004, they formed OceanHead Investment Group and have since been actively involved in buying and selling real estate.

OceanHead Investment Group invests in real estate in Hawaii, California, Arizona, Texas and Mexico. The firm’s real estate projects include condominiums, single-family homes, multifamily properties, senior living facilities, tax liens and mortgage notes. As investment experts, Ms. Slawson and Ms. Eich were able to identify and take advantage of the most recent real estate boom. As a result, they have steadily increased their real estate holdings and continue to earn a living in Hawaii through their income-producing real estate assets.

Gail M. Slawson, MBA ~ Senior Managing Partner

Gail M. Slawson holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Shidler College of Business, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems from San Francisco State University. Ms. Slawson’s primary responsibilities as Senior Managing Partner of OceanHead Investment Group include defining the company’s investment strategy, identifying and analyzing emerging markets, acquisition analysis and due diligence, directing all marketing activities, and managing investor relations. Ms. Slawson brings her analytical, financial, technical, and leadership skills to the partnership.

Michelle L. Eich ~ Managing Partner

Michelle L. Eich holds a Master of Science from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a Bachelor of Arts in International Communications from Pepperdine University. Ms. Eich began investing in real estate in December 2003. In June 2004, she co-founded OceanHead Investment Group, with her partner Gail M. Slawson. As Managing Partner of OceanHead Investment Group, Ms. Eich’s primary responsibilities include directing all aspects of buying and selling real estate, mortgage notes and tax liens, managing the companies’ rental properties, including all accounts and financials, pursuing new real estate investment opportunities and overseeing investor relations.

Prior to beginning her real estate investing career, Ms. Eich worked as a teaching and research assistant at the University of Hawaii. She has also greatly benefited from the ten years she worked as a litigation paralegal at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in Los Angeles and Walsh, Donovan, Lindh & Keech in San Francisco. Ms. Eich was often commended for her expertise in maintaining excellent client relationships, securing trust and confidence though providing complete, accurate and timely services. These skills, along with her ability to read and understand legal contracts, made it easy for Ms. Eich to transition into the realm of real estate investing.

In addition, Ms. Eich is the co-founder and co-facilitator of Hawaii Women Investing in Real Estate (HiWIRE). She is an active member of Hawaii Real Estate Investors, the National Association of Real Estate Investors, and the Ala Moana Chapter of Toastmasters International. Other proud associations include Hawaii Kai Chamber of Commerce, YWCA Oahu, Surfrider Foundation, Hawaiian Humane Society, and Human Rights Campaign.

Strategic Alliances

Randy and Laurie-Marie Hynes have been involved in real estate investing since 1977. RLM Financial Group’s primary objective is to purchase real estate in emerging markets across the United States where returns are the highest. Ms. Hynes has 10 years experience as a real estate agent, and they are both passionate about teaching others to invest in real estate. Besides their multifamily holdings, they have purchased and developed residential property in Hawaii.
